phcode getting converted to html then not accepted

Posts to the GS do not accept html and haven't for years - and that's fine. We have the system with the square brackets that is like bbcode. Let's call it phcode.

I've just noticed that when you edit your profile, any phcode that you have used (especially [url]text|url[/url]) gets converted back to html when you edit your profile. This, of course, fails to parse when you save your profile.

So the situation we have is that if you edit your profile and then click "save" without making any changes, then your profile is totally screwed. Which has to be a defect in anyone's book.

This is a known bug that is taking longer to fix due to the server improvements we are working on. It is at the top of the list when we have a stable environment.
