I mentioned this a while back - could we have an option to view the results without voting? There are times when I don't have an opinion or none of the answers apply where I'd like to see the result. I can't be the only person and just sticking in a random vote to see the result is going to skew the outcome.

I would say carry on and skew the results, there's no useful data in polls, all they are is a stimulous for conversation which = more threads = more adverts = more $$$ smile Also as a mechanism to determine things it might be worth creating more content to support = more pages = more adverts = more $$$ smile

At least that's what we use them for.

Though... it would result in cheating in the Horse Racing poll!

Currently we are not planning on changing the way it works (apart from maybe locking down the answer set so OPs can't change it after voting). Surely the vote should be absence of any peer pressure?

Perhaps, but I still think it would be nice to be able to see the result without voting. There's plenty of things I'm not knowledgable enough to participate in a vote on, but wouldn't mind reading the result...
