I too had a problem uploading an advert and found the solution in an earlier thread ('glenn911c4s') - ie replacing the sloping apostrophes generated within a Word-generated document, with'vertical' ones (I did this by editing the document within PH).

The lesson perhaps is to compose the advert withing PH and not import it from another program such as Word.

The ad then loaded ok, but despite being new, it was relegated to the back of the category when read in 'age of advert' format. Consequently, anyone looking through the most recent ads will never find it!

Anyone know the answer to this one? Sadly PH don't seem to be responding to emailed queries.

We've still got a bit of a backlog of emails from the weekend, especially as we spent this morning sorting out the special characters bug (it is fixed now in case you were wondering)

As far as the advert being out of order, this will be due to it being a standard advert.

The new listing system will show all premium adverts in the order you chose (i.e. newest to oldest) followed by all standard adverts in order.

At the moment we still have a large number of adverts on the site which were added before the new system went live. These are being treated as premium adverts until they expire, which will be over the next couple of weeks, and when this happens a better balance will appear between the premium and standard adverts.

Thankyou Mr Will. I appreciate that the premium and trade adverts will come first, but unfortunately the standard ads themselves don't appear in date order - not on my machine anyway! I've tried withdrawing my ad, changing it slightly then resubmitting it, but to no avail.

Another prob I'm afraid. I unchecked the 'publish phone number' box, but the phone number has appeared in the advert!

The standard ads will not appear in order as there are still old style ads (from before the split) that are acting as premium ads and thus looking like things are out of order.

I am going to look into the phone number problem now.
