New picture in Profile

Just updated my picture. How long does it take to re-appear? It used to be instant but now it's only appearing in my info > profile, but not in my public profile.

Same issue as Richard for me also, any ideas chaps? Cleared my cache & hit F5 also, still no go.

was just going to say that, uploaded a pic yesterday, can see it when I got to my profile but when I look at 1 of my posts and look atmy public profile its the old pic

I have had a look into this today and cant see why it is being stupid as yet. Can you email [e-mail] the picture that you have uploaded to your profile so I can see where it has got to, and why it has decided to play silly buggers.

Anyone else who is having this problem can you send me the new profile picture so I can try and diagnose this as at the moment I am unsure if the picture in your profile is the new one or an old one.

I'm getting this problem today. Have updated the profile picture - oddly the new one appears on the edit profile page (editprofile.asp) but not on the view profile page (profile.asp?memberId=17483).

On the view profile page, the image gets a HIT from squid:

However on the edit profile page:

I have made a change to the cacheing of the pictures in the public viewing of the profile that will fix this, and I will put it live tomorrow.

This still isn't working properly. Steps I just followed:

1. Upload new pic via My Profile page
2. Go to profile view
3. New picture is displayed (yay)
4. Click picture
5. Pop-up opens with old picture (boo)
6. Go back to My Profile (to remove all the crappy tags that are now stuck around the "about me" section - boo BTW)
7. Old photo is shown again
8. Back to profile view
9. New photo shown

etc.

Over what timescale did you do this whole process, as the servers are taking upto 12 minutes to replicate the pictures across all the servers?

Much less than that, no more than a minute or so. I figured it was probably a sync thing. Would be good if there was a message to say "your image may not appear for up to x minutes" or something.

Nope Unfortunately the system in place is old and timed and not looking at a specific folder for changes, thus the delay! I would like to change all the background routines but finding the time is hard at the moment.

I'm having problems changing the picture on my profile too - I realise this is an old thread but I wondered whether the problem is still occuring?

I've tried over the space of a couple of days now to change my pic and it doesn't appear to be working. Still showing old pic of me with the OH rather than the pic of my car. Although when I hover over the pic on my profile page it pops up with the file name and it says the right file name but the pic I see is the old one!!! Bizarre!!

Any pointers as to what I'm doing wrong?

When accessing your profile page, have you hit refresh?

I'm not sure how to take that comment! Yes I have refreshed, several times.

I first loaded the picture a couple of days ago and since then I've refreshed, updated, uploaded the picture again - none of this appears to work.
