Inappropriate Advertising?

Am I wrong for thinking that the google ad for Digital mileage correction (up/down) on this advert seems inappropriate?

I would be pretty annoyed if it appeared under my classified ad.

It's particularly offensive because this is supposed to be a car enthiusiasts site, not one for scammers. Haymarket taking money from crooks and scammers, whatever next? I bet they'd hate publicity about this thread...

Not at all. Perfectly legal if, say, you replace the speedometer due to a fault and want to set the new one to the same mileage as the old one. Or something like that. Yes, I think the playground term was "chinny reckon" wasn't it?

It is a google advert which is automatically generated, rather than an advertiser who is paying us directly.

These ads are generated based on the content of the page, in this case probably the 'low mileage' in the title, and as such we have no direct control over them but I will have a word and see what we can do.

In the mean time, if nobody clicks on it then google should automatically figure out that it is not working and it will be replaced with something hopefully more relevant.

Being a Google Ad I suspected it was fairly random, but I still feel sorry for the seller, the google ad could undermine buyers confidence in his low mileage car.
