I have tried it both ways.

Physically typing a ";" followed by a ")"

;)

And also clicking on the smilie in the "Smilies" clicky at the top of the message box.

;)

Is there something I am missing here?

TIA.

Shouldn't there be a 'space' then the wink (I have to add two spaces for one to appear between the text and the emoticon)?

So this wink
rather than thiswink

If I wanted to have the emote directly under the text I'm sure I'd only hit return once, not twice.
wink

To leave a single line gap between text and almost perfect winky smilee one must make three new lines.

Sorry for being such a pedant, but since we are on the subject of pointing out flaws. wink

Should be all sorted now, and don't worry about pointing these things out, it makes our job easier!
