When ever I scroll down a thread and an animated ad scolls onto the screen my touchpad scroll function stops working. I can still scroll using the slide bar, but this is quite frustrating. Is the animation using up my processor capacity or is it some dark plan to get me to look at the ad. If its the later it doesnt make me want to buy the product, it just annoys me.

If you mean the ad that appears to the right of the 5th (I think it's the 5th) post than just wait for it to load and your scrolling will work, only take a couple of seconds even at busy times.

If you didn't mean that then sorry! A more knowledgeable person will be along soon. smile

Well I am not sure about that, but I will have a go. Some adverts have controls on them that require scrolling in the ads. If the mouse cursor goes over the as then it will cause this problem too. If you let us know the adverts then we can look at them.

If this is not the case then it. Is probably Steve's response above.

Inetersting confused

Most ads are OK (for a while I thought it was fixed). I remember yesterday it was the Virgin Broad band ad ( not the Virgin TV ad)causing problems. I cant find that today. Today the Samsung ad stops the scolling.

After about 10-20 seconds the scrolling works again. If I scroll the ad off the screen for a few seconds and the scroll it back on again I get the same 10-20 second freeze up.

In all cases I didnt let the cursor go into the ad. So it is only a few ads causng me problems. Roll out the Java wizards and unleash them on this, should keep them busy for a while.scratchchinidea
