Classifieds with no price....

Unfortunately the price is not compulsory so if someone wished to add it without a price then it will show. You can choose to filter these out by specifying a price range which will remove them. You can do this using either the Search function on the left hand menu, or the filter tab above the advert listing.

I suppose it was more the ones that aren't actually advertising a vehcicle at all, i.e. generic Garage adverts, parts adverts etc etc. For example, if you do a search on Porsche 911 (996), Sort 'Lo-Hi', it's page 3 before the cheapest 996 vehicle actually features.
Alternatively, can the logic (hamsters) be reprogrammed so that adverts with no price feature at the end of a 'sort Lo-Hi' search?

I am looking at the sorting at the moment, but think it might be slightly hard to do as it is based on a database standard built in sort that puts blanks first and thus would need a workaround that could slow down any sorting.
We are looking at a better system to try and catch any parts, wanted etc ads in a car category which will be in place by end of the month so that will hopefully remove most of these ads to the correct wanted or parts category.

Also, just spotted over ten 996's in the 997 section of the classifieds - again, all traders. (you'd think they should be able to tell the difference)

The mixed up 911's are due to our automatic upload systems that certain dealers use. They split the cars between 996 and 997 based on their year of registration (if all else fails), which can be a little unreliable with very early or late cars.
