Upgrading advert to Premium ???

I posted and ad yesterday and found it today on page 37!!!

OK, so I try to upgrade it to premium. Press button to upgrade and then I'm advised I can upgrade for free, so press button again. Then I am advised that my advert has already been submitted??? Well, yes, it has, as a standard but I'm trying to upgrade it !

Could easily be something I screwed up but does anyone have any thoughts?

There is a minor bug affecting members upgrading to premium adverts, if you submit it as a premium advert in the first place it will work fine, but if you are entitled to free premium adverts and you place it as standard one and then try to upgrade it, it doesn't always work.

I've manually upgraded your advert for you, so it should be sorted now, but if you have any more problems just let me know.

I've experienced the exact same problem as this. Is the bug still present? Is there a workaround I can do myself?

I didn't know members got Premium Adverts free!

I advertised a car at the weekend with only standard benefits

Never mind though; car still sold same day!

I've upgraded your advert for you, you'll be able to add the extra pictures now!

The best way to avoid this bug is to just submit it as a premium advert in the first place, but I will bump the bug up the list and try to get it sorted as soon as possible.

Yep, any long term forum members get as many free premium adverts as they want.

Good to know we still did the trick though!

This was implemented for long-term members of the site when we launched the premium classifieds in July last year to thank them for growing us to what we are now. Unfortunately any members joining after that date do not get the free premium adverts.
