Hello WebAdmins,
I was just trying out a new browser (Googles Chrome), and I started viewing the thread "PIctures of decently Modified cars".
However, when I attempted to read page two I got the following warning, I assume by the browser;
"The website at www.pistonheads.com contains elements from the site hometown.aol.co.uk, which appears to host malware - software that can hurt your computer or otherwise operate without your consent."
I do not know which element on the page could be causing the issue, but I felt I should mention it.

It's on an image, which is labelled "Also from readers' cars, not so much a modified car as a self built design".

Over the past 90 days, hometown.aol.co.uk/ appeared to function as an intermediary for the infection of 3 site(s) including kolm.cn, vidcasts.net, sg138.com.cn.
Suspect "hometown" is some kind of user generated content / MySpace-style site from AOL. They are probably pretty pissed that it's now blocked probably because of one dodgy punter. Miniman - I am going to have to start sending you invoices for your work soon
Unfortunately due to space and copyright issues it is easier in the forums to have the images linked in from their orignal source and not host them locally. This means that as browsers get cleverer they will be good at spotting any site that is a problem.
We are also making sure that Chrome works across the site, though must admit it is great to have another browser to check compatability with </sarcasm>
