Insomuch as moving a thread.

Yes, on face value, a thread titled "Best Pub Snacks" would be "Food & Drink" forum, but surely my initial posting of this in the "pub" forum - as it had a "pub" connection - was valid?

Similarly, I posted some time ago a thread titled, "Your First Album". This was nothing to do with whichever album one first purchased. It was a "game" where one answered certain questions from linked sites to produce a "theoretical" first album based on one's answers. It was immediately moved to the music forum.

Could I respectfully ask the mods to read the OP's thread before moving it elsewhere, rather than reading the thread title and jumping to conclusions?

Ta.

The non-motoring forums are not just for serious discussion, so light-hearted topics can be discussed in them as well as the P&P. The P&P is not the core of PH (contrary to what some people think). Instead it is simply the place for any topics which don't belong anywhere else.

Moving these topics to their appropriate forums helps drive traffic to these forums and introduce them to people who might not be aware of them and also stops the topics getting lost amongst the fast moving topics of the P&P

I think what Will is trying to say is that the P&P is full of drivel, and perhaps was kindly trying to disassociate and differentiate your posts from the other drivel yes
