PH causing Internet Explorer to freeze
Discussion
On my laptop at home, using Windows XP home and IE version 6 (I think - I didn't upgrade to the latest IE as I'd heard it causes more problems than it is worth). Everytime I access PH, IE becomes completely unresponsive and I have to do tho old Ctrl/Alt/Del thing to close it down. This does not happen with any other website that I have tried. Also does not happen when I access PH from (shock! Horror!) work.
Have just installed XP service pack 3 and this makes no difference.
So who doesn't want me to look at PH when I'm at home?

Very odd, it's not something we have heard of before and we test PH with most of the major browsers, IE6 included.
Is it happening on a particular page or all the time? and is it still doing it?
You could try clearing your cookies to see if there is a problem there, but if that doesn't work then let me know and I will do a bit more digging.

Thanks, Mr Will. I think I may have got a handle on this one now - I went to Microsoft's help centre and went through "what to do when IE stops working"...
Funnily EVERYTHING, including the speed of my laptop, improved as I went through the list of add-ons and disabled them one by one!
If Microsoft think they have the ultimate product, they are seriously deluded!

Great that you've found a solution, I'd imagine it was probably one of our adverts interfering with one of the add-ons, which is why it suddenly happened.Funnily EVERYTHING, including the speed of my laptop, improved as I went through the list of add-ons and disabled them one by one!
