Can we have pictures next to our user names?

This one's probably more suited to Website Feedback.

There's a long-standing tradition on PH of keeping it simple and avoiding avatars, signatures, etc. - saving that for the profile page.

I don't know if the topic has been discussed much since Haymarket took the reigns.

I prefer PH without all the rubbish that often gets festooned around posts on other forums...

In my opinion avatars make forums look pretty gash, plus you'll get people using annoying animated GIF's and the like.

Another good reason is you'll get get some stupid git having a scantily clad girlie as their avatar (bouncing boobies etc. etc. yawn...) which will instantly make any thread NSFW.

Very true, all the other forums stick out like a sore thumb on my work comp, PH blends in nicely.

I think itd good as it is. On some other forums, people put so much nonsense by their name/under their name/under each post that its really hard to read what they are writing, and it often means nothing to anyone. A bit like this
