Mates On Line

Just trying to leave a post for someone and have them added as a 'mate', how about having a facility where you can 'ping' the mate with a message if they are shown as on line?
'Mate' is a term used loosely as one may not necessarily have their private contact details public.

Sorry Mark, not dismissing it - it's just not something that will get implemented in the short term.
