Problem loading Classifieds images?

The problem I'm seeing has been going on for months.

The problem is when I click on an image thumbnail in an advert and the new "image viewer" window pops up, half the time the image loads part way, then freezes for a few seconds, and then completes loading.

It can freeze for 10 or more seconds but the delay is normally maybe 2~3 seconds?

I've just gotten used to clicking the image number again to force it to reload, which it normally does properly.

No problems with my internet connection otherwise on any other sites, certainly nothing like this "pausing" problem.

And the forums themselves work fine, its just the image server?

Anyone else seen this?

Thanks miniman, proves its a problem with the forums servers and not my end.

We are aware of problems with the classified image servers becoming overloaded during busy periods where the disks can't read the data quick enough. This could be causing these problems but we will investigate if anything else is causing the problem.

We are putting a new architecture for the backend which will solve these problems and this will be implemented in the new year, though in the meantime please bear with us while we speed things up.
