What's going on here....?

My desktop displays post background colour grey/white/grey/white, with my posts in blue.

Viewing on a laptop at the moment, and colours are blue/white/blue/white.

Been into preferences and tried all three, but all are the same.

Confused, as ever...

Sounds like the two screens are just calibrated differently and hence showing the colour slightly differently (unless they are completely different colours). I have two screens connected to the same PC here and the left one is more blue than the right one.

This is typically a problem with LCD screens which are regularly quite a long way off from the 'correct' colours and will in fact change if you move your head up or down relative to the screen.

Mine always shows as grey/white/grey/white with my posts in blue. confused

Then again, perhaps the grey is very pale blue ???

eta, nope on checking after my post, the grey is certainly grey and my posts come up as pale blue !!

How different are the colours? the correct colour is a slightly bluey grey, so it sounds like your two screens might just be set up differently, unless the colours are completely different.

It will just be your screens then, I wouldn't worry about it!

Try fiddling with your screen settings (brightness, contrast, etc).

It might help!

Take a screen dump on each and compare them on one or other of the screens. If they differ there's a problem, if they appear the same it's as Mr Will said.
