Why kick them out and ban them. Let them trolls troll in here. I suspect a troll or someone reports a troll, The mods can move the troll to the hall. wink Those who wanna play with them, can do it. If they decide to leave, they leave, but, they are not simply kicked out because they think differently.

The problem is plenty of genuine people asking questions in all seriousness get branded as 'trolls'.

When in reality they're not trolls at all, just thick as st or couldn't find their arse with an atlas.

I can think of several possible candidates off the top of my head, petrol_penelope being one.

Someone who chucks a deliberately controversial comment out without any thought/reason/logic behind it & then insults anyone questioning it.

For example;

Troll says: I fudging hate Vixpy & he doesn't give sloppy seconds.
Semi sane folk on PH: Why do you hate him so much chum?
Troll says: Because I do, so stfu

Cue insults & a thorough analysis of why Vixpy won't give sloppy seconds.

By the way Vixpy, this post doesn't mean you give sloppy seconds, nor does it mean you don't...I think? Your username just popped into my head, & it wasn't because I was thinking about sloppy seconds, because I wasn't...Just, yeh. I'm done boxedin

The troll halls not a bad idea if you want to waste 10 minutes though thumbup

A tricky question.

There would have to be some way of getting in & out of troll hall.

Maybe have junior and senior troll hall, depending on how
bad the offender.

More than let's say fifty points, into junior TH, more than let's say 100 points,
straight into senior TH.

PH has gone all mainstream, and they let almost anyone in, so some
filtering would be appreciated. FAQs don't, for instance, seem to
have ever appeared.

Mind you, spell checking and grammar would be nice too.

It don't think that a 'Troll Hall' would work well or be productive and the sort of comments it would likely contain are the same sort that could causes us problems with a lot of workplaces internet filtering software so, as Al says, I'm afraid this one is a 'No'.

A Troll Hall, sounds like the sound of claptrap some teenage 'angsty' forum would have for fun.

TBH i'd rather flog myself off with a lump hammer.

Bad idea. We already have the sin-bin, so if someone is being an obnoxious troll, they should go there.

If they're just fishing, then there's not a lot we can/should do...some people will always bite.
