is it just me or does anyone else get pissed off with posts added on just for the sake of adding a smiley face or qouting a previous quote? it just gets on my nerves due to the amount of scrolling to read other ph'hds opinions /comments etc.

So instead of having us all agree (hypothetically of course, I'm not actually speaking for PH here) by using a smiley face or +1, you'd rather we gave a boring and long winded explanation of the reason we agree - meaning you have to read the post since it might be interesting instead of automatically ignoring it as an effective "vote"? Short of adding a little poll to every message where you can select "I agree" or "I disagree" , there is no better way.

Alternatively, instead of this relatively short lecture I could have said:
