I think you may find this is a general mail problem at the moment, and not just a pistonheads thing

True, but you'd still expect the emails to arrive at the same frequency that the posts were posted.

Not sure about mail delays. I get all my auto emails from the system immediately which would suggest its external email systems that are having the problem.
