Email notification of replies to thread.

I've just noticed that if I start a thread I get the option to get emailed if anyone replies to it but if I post in an existing thread I don't get that option.

Why?

And would it be to much computer stuff, server load etc. to do this?

I didn't want to give you more work but was just a bit curious about it because I'd not noticed it before.

Not sure at the moment, early days, but would like to do G20s again just need to find some funding for it.
