How do I remove that stupid smile on the left on the thread?

Below I posted a thread in the GG but I don't want it to have a smile appearing on the forum, how do I get rid of it?

Edit the post and put a dot next to "none"

I did that, but it still seems to be there.

It's the smilie associated to the thread title, not the post.

Correct.

Same applies to posts. Everyone can edit their own posts - but not thread titles.

If you are the thread starter though, how come you can not get back in to alter the thread title though?

more in the lines of a spelling mistake and not re-naming the thread.

IIRC it's always been the way. In the great scheme of things, it's rare that thread titles require changing.

The thread title in this case didn't need changing, it was the fact that the smile appeared.

Editing of topic titles is only open to moderators as it is very rare for a title to need changing and it stops people playing silly buggers and completely changing/removing the topic title once a thread is running.

If you ever make a typo or need a thread title changing for some other reason then just hit report and we'll get it sorted pretty quickly.
