You can use the oily pages section, you could pay to advertise, you could e mail us and ask if we can help.....

If we allow everyone to promote their own site we'd be full of ads. Many members have their own websites but don't set up a thread to say 'look at my great site' and you would have agreed to not use the forums for promotion when you joined PH.

I can only apologise if you disagree. We don't mean to annoy you.

People are not allowed to advertise in the forums without permission.

Ask first, and you just might be allowed.

it said do not post links for your own commercial gain. it isnt for my gain, and im not commercial.

its a hobby and i enjoy it, nor profits are made. so i didnt see a problem.

Besides never said "look at my site its brillinat".

was merely trying to attrack attention

That's ok, just run it past the management first and i'm sure we can sort something out, even if it is as simple as a link in our links pages.

I think it's quite sad that within 1 month / 6 posts of joining you're using PH to promote your stuff. We have members here of 8 years and more (myself included) who don't presume to do that, so what makes you so different?

thats fine

and as for what makes me so different is the fact that i dont use this forum as my "hangout" so to speak. the fact that you do is your perogative. I however am not a regular user of PH and "hangout" in other forums.
Judging by cetain people here i doubt ill be staying long tbh

jon its fasinating that you remain here to put sparks on a fire that has already died.

The issue has been resolved.

The fact you have been here for 8years + with 20k posts indicates to me that you obviously do not run your own forum and therfore would not have a clue how to advetise one.
So i appreciate your input, but not really relevant

The tone of your posts here would suggest otherwise.

I'd say in this thread alone you've done more damage to the perception of your site then any good you would have gained from advertising it "for free".
