eBay auction option in classifieds

Afternoon all,

I'm a bit stumped here. I've got an item on eBay that I'd like to advertise in the Parts section of the classifieds. I've noticed a lot of items in there have an eBay auction format, which sends the user directly to the auction page. I can't work out how to use that option though, can anyone help? I've tried to just create a standard ad and then putting the link in, but that appears to be not allowed either.

It should work if you paste copy and paste the URL into the advert. What has been happening when you have tried?

It just cuts the URL, rendering it useless, and doesn't appear to invoke the auction format. am I being hopeless?

Are you putting it in [url] tags, or just copying and pasting it?

Post the URL and i'll try from here, but the random ones I tested yesterday seemed to work.

Ah - that's probably it, I've just been pasting it in. I'll try the url tag now and see if it works.
