Over the past 12 months all four forums in the lotus section have been dying a slow and painful death. I find this both sad and frustrating, as I always thought that along with TVR, Lotus was one of the brands that formed the foundations of this site.

I understand that regulars will always come and go, and post numbers are often seasonal, but I feel the only way to help rejuvenate interest would be to combine all four sections together.

Why would you ever post a topic in 'Lotus in the USA' when there has only ever been 446 posts in it?

The same can be said for the 'General Lotus Stuff' forum, so little replies and many of them are from people who usually post in the more popular Elise/Exige/Europa/340r forum.

As an example, the Porsche Forum has much more traffic, and topics posted are often from right across the board ranging from questions about Cayenne turbo 's to 911SC's. It's busy, interesting and successful.

So come on chaps what's going to be done to help kick start a once popular, fun and informative forum?

Thanks in advance

We are aware of this problem and have two main options, both of which are being considered at the moment. We can try dropping as much news as possible in there in the first instance. This is good for attracting new members and might help revitalise things, but is very much limited by the amount of lotus news we can find.

If this doesn't work then we might consolidate the forums into a smaller number of busier forums, which will hopefully make for more interesting reading and cause traffic to pick up again.

If anyone else has any suggestions though then please let us know!
