Who writes to the thread? Myself or the mods?

Evening all,

Now I know this sounds like a stupid question but I had a strange email from Tigerkoi, he said that I shouldn't refer back to his thread. This got me thinking, does he even have the rights to say that? And whose thread is it?

From a mods perspective you have as much right to reply to any thread you wish, as long as those replys do not breach any of the sites T&C's or Rules of Posting.

Not wishing to be pedantic, BUT if your mail was sent via the PH mail system you might not have copyright!

And just to clarify any potential confusion that anyone might be having.

As Al says above - everyone has the right to post on any public thread, as long as they are within the PH Ts and Cs. And no-one can dictate otherwise, except the PH management team and mods in given circumstances.

You own the right to an indevidual reply as you have control over it: ability to edit; delete; show a thread

As for a thread this is owned by the collection of posters as they contribute to the thread.

As a hoster of the forums we are responsible for making sure the posts fit within our posting rules so have control over the posts.
