Classifieds.... sold items

Why do sold items stay in the classifieds for ages. Its a pain when searching thru, only to see loads of "sold" items.

Only items marked as 'Sold via PistonHeads' stay in the classifieds and they only stay visible until the advert was due to expire anyway, which is at most 30 days.

Have you noticed a big build up anywhere in particular?

In the TVR parts section, from page 3 onwards, there is quite a build up. In particular page 5.
