Edit Footnote

I've noticed on some other forums they give you say 10-30 seconds to edit your post, before placing a footnote on post. Could this be implemented on PH? Means you can go back and quikcly correct typos/spelling errors without having the footnote stuck onto the bottom.

The 'Edited by' note is there to stop people playing silly buggers and changing the content of the post.

In a forum as fast moving as PH I don't think a grace period would work very well and it is a bit unnecessary if you make use of the 'Preview' button.

It doesn't always turn up for me so I had always assumed the grace period was here already!

There is the special 'Ninja Edit', where if you are really quick you can work around the 'Edited by:' thing.

You simply copy the content of your post, delete it, paste the content into a new reply, make the changes and then post it again before anyone notices!
