Possible improvement to site?

Apologies if this is the wrong place to post this but I have a possible improvement to run past whoever may read this. I was searching for fellow PHers with the same car as me and found out the BMW Z4M was listed in about 8 different places. Is this because new members have to enter their car rather than choose from a list already created?

Maybe this is because it is too difficult to do it the other way, I don't know, just a thought. I also thought it would be nice to search by car and location at the same time to see who lives nearby. I have used the map function but you have to click on every member which can be quite time consuming.

There are probably very good reasons for why things are as they are, or maybe it's me being thick and not knowing how to use this excellent site properly!

I think the main issue here is the proliferation of models in the members cars section. We are planning a re-vamp of this area in the near future and as part of this we will split it up properly by model, rather than allowing members to type in whatever they want (as happens now).

At the same time we will look into tying it into the map a little bit better, but this is a big job so don't hold your breath!
