"Hover-over" text on forum topic links?

On forums based on vBulletin, one can hover over the link to a thread and get a preview of the first 30 or so words of the first post. It's done using the title="" attribute of the <td> tags and it's really handy.

It would (I imagine) be so simple to include within the custom-built PistonHeads environment that I'm wondering whether MrWill could knock out such a feature during his afternoon pie break.

(Or would it add complexity and lag to the DB look-ups with every forum list?)

I agree this is very usefull when browsing...... if its possible it would be a good upgrade

It could be built and I quite like the idea, but unfortunately it isn't a simple change with the way PH works at the moment.

I'll put it on the list to investigate and we will see what we can do.
