This would be handy....

If I go 'My Info' ---> 'Contributions' there is a little black cross on the extreme right which, if I click it, ensures that that thread doesn't appear on that page anymore.

Would be good if that same 'black cross' option was available in the 'What's New' service; some of the sections to which I subscribe are 50% irrelevant to my interests, so it would keep the 'What's New' section full of items I'd rather be reading rather than having to wade through threads I don't want to see.

Whaddayathink?

Is it possible?

Or you could use the My Preferences and add your favourites, that way they will be the ones that come up in the What's New.

Something for the system guys to answer really. I could see how a subscribe to this thread button could be added to the list and then the thread would be in your "My Stuff" list. Not quite the same but a thought maybe?

More useful would be a checkbox rather than a little cross, so you could do multiple unsubscribes. Same for bookmarks.

I have. But I don't want to read every thread in 'Computers', for example, so it would be good to kick out ones I'm not interested in as soon as I see them, safe in the knowledge that they won't crowd out what is a very busy 'What's New' section again.

Great idea, I'll at it to the list so we can investigate how feasible it is.
