We currently don't do behavioural advertising so the ads are based on the tags we have in the page.
Thus we will have a campaign targeted at a specific area eg FORUMS.WEBSITEFEEDBACK and then the ads served on that page will be controlled by the campaign system as to when and what adverts are shown.
These tags know nothing about the viewer of the page so it is purely our skill, or not, of identifying our target audience to deliver the right ads for the right audience. Behavioural advertising which is used across most big sites on the internet now does work better though and takes some of the guess work out of the art of serving ads.
