is it possible to have a "fast forward" button, for searching through threads in a forum?

when searching, you can always jump to page one, but could we have a FF that will jump you, say 10 pages forward? (or backward as the case maybe?)

cheers.

yeah, but it still goes at one page at a time.

i just thought it'd be easier to jump from the current page 1 to 11, when looking over the week's posts.

e.g. i was looking at some threads on page 82 of gen gassing. the pooter crashed and i had to keep clicking the numbers up to 82 again.

took ages.

Ah i think i understand how you're viewing PH.

you're viewing from "gassing station" not "whats new"

"whats new" lets you view your chosen forums (or all forums)for latest posts on one complete page

Its much easier to keep up

NNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

ok, go to general gassing (or any forum), and look in the top right hand corner. you'll see some numbers relating to how many pages the forum has spread. if i wanted to look at say page 109 out of 900. then id have to click the next number (page 2 then 3 then 4 etc) 109 times

essentially, a fast forward feature, (next to these numbers on the top-right) would let you jump back a set number of pages at a time.

its only useful if you want to look at old threads, which looking at "whats new" doesnt allow.

somebody put me out of my misery and just say NO!!

If you look at one of the numbers in the address, it increments correspondingly with the page number. Just change this number to the page that you want to view.

Example: pistonheads.com/gassing/forum.asp?f=23&h=0&p=2&faq=False

The number in bold gives page 3 of General Gassing. Changing it to 65 will give page 66 etc...
