Right, i know this is another P&P change thread but bear with me as i have an idea.
Can some clever chap at PH towers not code the site so that you can choose how you wish to view the forums? A bit like an extreme skin changer.
If you wish to see all the old P&P threads you can simply choose in your preferences.. how hard can it be to list all the topics in the sub forums in one again for people who want it?
For newbies and people who like the change, the default can be new format.
All im asking is can it be done and if it not a completly stupid idea?

The problem is that the old or "classic" P&P was not simply a merge of all the non-motoring forums. For example, a thread on good recipes for cooking a joint of beef would go in Food and Drink, whereas a thread on how best to eat creme eggs would go in P&P. Those of us with a "serious" interest in Food & Drink could discuss it away from the mindless drivel.

That sounds like a good idea...actually that would have been a good idea a few weeks ago as well.
I did suggest something along these lines a while back, but it seemed to get lost amongst all the arguing. However, as Ed says, I think Pete is working on something similar that may appease those that are still unhappy.As for the eating creme eggs thread, I'd probably put it in the Lounge.
