Over Mod-ing

Why wasn't the More bonkers alcohol policy from Tesco moved to Food, Drink and Restaurants?

Slow down Mods - not every thread needs to be re-homed from 'The Lounge'...

'The Lounge' is dead enough since 'the changes' - don't make it even worse (unless the intention is of course to keep pumping bullets in until it finally crawls away and dies).

All threads will be moved out of the Lounge where a sub forum exists, the Lounge is a forum for non-sub forum topics.

As I don't use the new system to view P&P as I view all thread titles regardless of what forum they are in.

It was my understanding that with the new viewing set up it didn't matter what sub forum the thread was in, it still looks very similar to the old P&P.

Or have I got it wrong?

Only if you have the sub forum in your favourites, and use the new way of browsing.

Luckily The Lounge is unused these days, so the first post of the moved thread will take 2 days to go off the first page, so there is plenty of time to catch it

Here is a crazy idea, how about leaving The Lounge as the non-serious forum and let threads live in there regardless of the topic, that way it might become popular again, and it leaves the rest of the sub forums as serious reply forums...

I'm not aware that there are any changes in the pipe line to revert back to the old style of P&P, but as I understand it can still be viewed in a similar manner as it was then.

As I say nothing has changed for me I'm still viewing all the forums as I have done for the last 6 years.

If you want things the way they were then try clicking on the heading " The Pie & Piston". It will take you to a page which shows all the topics from the subforums in one place (works with Motorsport, TVR and all the others too).

But the fundamental problem is that once you post a reply, you then go back to the sub-forum rather than "P&P", and so have to repeat the process again (i.e. click on P&P).. Thus negating the benefit of the P&P button IMHO, which is a shame.
