FFS Mods, consistentcy please!

So, for reasons best known to yourselves you carve up the P+P into segments. Okay. We don't like it, but it's your football,etc,etc.

So why is 'If Ireland was on our side in ww2' in Boats, planes and trains and 'Shuttle Launch' in Holidays and Travel?



I know it's not just me that finds it hard to follow your logic sometimes.

Perhaps we could have some 'think like a mod' training?

The shuttle question isn't about a holiday in Fl per se, but where to actually view the damn thing. Considering the PH resident space geeks have a 100 well established thread about such things in 'Boat, Trains, and Planes' why the hell not put it there. It gives the OP a much better chance of getting a straight answer.

We didn't move the Ireland thread in there, and nobody has reported it as needed moving, so we haven't moved it.

I can pop it into the lounge if people want?

As will said - if people don't report it, we don't necessarily see it.

I guess the thread title should be changed to "FFS PHers ....."

The Ireland thread pre-dates the revisions to the site so must have been deliberately placed into the "Boats, Planes etc" forum by a mod. I did query it in the thread itself but obviously no one of importance noticed it.

It beggars belief some of the switching that goes on here these days.

But, let's face it, nothing is going to be changed now - we will just have to live with this odd, random switching of threads etc.

I really want all space and space travel related threads in The Lounge because they have really not much to do with "Boats, Planes and Trains".

Err, no. It was put there when the carve up occurred.

So, my original point still stands. Will you please try to be consistent? Just because a thread doesn't quite fit with your idea of what should be in the Lounge, doesn't mean you have to shoehorn it somewhere else for convenience.

As an accountant are you taxed more heavily if you use the word "please" since I have never seen you use it once in any of your constant sniping remarks about this?

When posts are used from the P&P Archive the poster has the option where to move it to; so I'd guess that whoever ressurected it moved it there...

The Mods have a tracker thingy (I'm sure) so they'd know who moved it where if it were one of them?

That's what I was trying to say above. It's not all down to the mods - although we're an easy target.

That was a bit harsh.

I have actually spoken by e-mail to some of the mods about this - especially back in April - and we had quite a sensible and intelligent chat about matters. So, with one or two exceptions, I don't think the mods have been overly affronted by what I have said.
I have also posted or e-mailed lists of suggestions for their consideration -all in a very civilised manner - which they told me they appreciated.
Indeed, I have NEVER attacked any of them in person or accused them of having any personality or atitude failings.
Unlike some of the critism aimed at me by some on PH.

And I don't expect that excessive use of the word "please" will make a huge difference to whatever decisions they make.

It's linked to a front page Pistonheads story (and nothing to do with moderators) it's probably in GG because GG is the main car forum on here that is used by other websites that use the PH feed for it's forum so it's covered by all of them. Since it's such big news I guess, plus if it was in motoring news those who can't find their nose on their own face won't spot it and will start new threads in GG about it anyway.
