Pressing Escape

Ted - is it a design feature that pressing 'escape' removes everything from the window that you are typing in?

I just wrote a fairly lengthy piece, and lost it when accidently brushing the button

Nope, it's standard Windows behaviour. Hitting CTRL-Z would reinstate it.
