Was just looking for an MJ thread, found several but they're all locked. Can't find one open! Does it really matter if threads discussing the same subject are left open to run to their own natural demise? This one will be locked in a minute too, because I've mentioned MJ? smile

The problem is that it's the Lounge where people come to see the active threads, and if they don't see one near the top on an obviously big topic, they're going to create one.

This is the problem where modding can become over-modding and create more work unfortunately.

See 'The Pie & Piston' is like a real world pub, but on the internet.

And then someone decided that in this pub you'll have a room for each subject of conversation, so say your having a beer with a mate discussin politics in the sport room and the bounces come drag you out and push you into the politics room, obviously a lot of your mates who were discusing sport (or looking at that hot girl) got left behind, but they'll catch up sometime.

In my experience, people that label themselves 'big' often are not.

Especially 'Als'.

Perhaps with BIG STORIES like this, the main thread should be made sticky for a while?
