I notice the ads are back... Now as my hosts points the servers at 127.0.0.1 I have to assume they've been moved?

You are correct, we are moving to a new adserver which is why they have reappeared!

It should cure all the slow loading problems though as they are now the last things to load on the page, rather than everything having to wait while they loaded. (so maybe you don't need to block them anymore??)

I'll leave them unblocked as a comparator... As I've ran without during the problems I should be able to spot a difference. All seems fine at the mo though

This has been a project that has taken quite a while to develop and we will be rolling out different sections of the site with the new ad system throughout the next few weeks... So expect to see adverts appearing more and more places. Though the main areas of the site: Classifieds, Forums, News and Member Areas have been completed (well most of the pages).

We will be turning the old Ad Server off tonight so all areas that haven't migrated will see an immediate improvement as they wont have any ads running at all till they are migrated.

I am keen to see how you feel about the ads running again and if it caused you any problems

So this is why I had problems last week! Page starts to load quickly and starts to scroll down, then stops (for ages!) while the ad loads, then carries on to the end of page!
Only happens on low bandwidth connection though!

There is no reason for the site to be doing that. Is it happening on every single page?

Not at all on my home PC which is AFAIK a later version of IE
