We are still working through the bug list for testing and improving certain elements that were missing. I will let you know the release date this week, hopefully.

Slight digression... This site has a 'Lo-Fi' version: click and full-fat: click 2.

Not a bad idea... though our implementation is hopefully going to work out the mobile phone requesting the site and format it specifically for the phone. This way we can cope with all the idiosyncrocies of each mobile platform than having a single mobile version where we hope most phones fit in.

Second release of the site is now in QA, so getting much closer, just ironing out a few of the features.

i spend a lot of time looking at ph on my iphone. will it be any better with the mobile version? tbh i am quite happy with it as it is

I use an iPhone too and yes the site is much better in the mobile version - though we do have the option to use the full site if you don't think so.

i agree (looking at the current solution) but this will be improved with the mobile version of pistonheads

initial thoughts are the headers seem to dominate the scren on an xda.

The "proper" front page content was fine, it was just in the forums that I noticed it.

I'm liking it so far (iPhone) only tried it on wifi but will go for a wonder in a bit classfieds are a lot better.

Thoughts so far:

alhoughe the image navigation is good, it would be nice to view a larger one

the page after login, can it not redirect to the post you want to make?

The post text box does not resize if you go into landscape mode

all this work and still classic asap, you poor people!
