photo upload beta

Here is a screenshot of a photo I uploaded today via the beta service ... sometimes it shows correctly, and sometimes not ...


To be fair - it is easy to use.

Why does a forum the size of PH need to use an external photo upload service - surely usage would be high enough to justify an in-house solution that can be better integrated and fully controlled (and work correctly)?

We have now seen that twice so will look into the problem. It is only happening on the default size selection and not on the thumbs or original images.

As to using an external photo host - this is basically down to cost, we may be big but not in terms of resources so this is the most cost effective method of us doing photos at the moment.
