Hey all, I could be missing something here but... is it possible to show what car you have when you post in a thread?

For example it's really annoying me when users post something and they say something like "my car" and I dont actually know what car they have because I dont know them.

Is it possible to have under the user name the car they have or in their profile for reference?

Im sorry if this has been answered before but I have serached and I can find it. I might not be looking in the right place as well.

ps. this is a critical topic, just perhaps a way to improve as I think you do a great job and love this site.

don't you just click the profile and then click on the 'my garage' tab, all their car info would be there

Not everyone has it, think this mayby why I have missed it, but I suppose those who havent created a my Garage wont put a car down if they had an option to have it under a forum name.

Thanks anyway, will make it a bit easier to understand what people are saying now.

We try and keep the forums clutter free, so limit the amount of information about a member under their name. Also a lot of members have more than one car and some have more than four, so which one we show would be tricky as a list of all the cars may end up cluttering everything.

Also not everyone fills their garage information in their profile, or their profile itself. This would mean you still wouldn't know what car theirs is.

I do think that having some representation of "my car" on the forums is a good idea, as it may encourage more people to fill in their information, but for the meantime the My Garage option on someone's profile is the best bet at the moment.
