Why on earth was this locked ??

Nice 'off the wall' topic so everyone could have an input ---but no --it's locked.

I've no idea.

It was harmless fun which some found funny if they understood it and some just didn't get it.

I emailed the mod who locked it but no response.

I can only assume it's a serious thread day today as all the other threads are common sense based in The Lounge at present. Not.



Somebody asked on the thread, why it hadn't been locked. I assume this was the catalyst.

But in other peoples opinions, ie people posting and enjoying 'The Lounge', it wasn't. It was bringing a smile to peoples faces.

So perhaps "us gods" should just start removing the ability of members to post in the lounge permanently, as it seems you do not have the ability or the desire to police the forums yourselves. That way crap threads won’t get raised.

I was the guilty party who mentioned about it not being locked. It was meant tongue-in-cheek since the "random thread" police are always about and ready to lock a thread as soon as it gets wayward.

Apologies for any distress caused. I certainly didn't mean to bring the thead to the attention of the random-thread police.

It's not important really. The mods are incredibly good at their task and no doubt would have locked it sooner or later anyway.

What's the problem, Al. I assume this is a threat to remove me from the forums.

Why not just change the forum name to "Personal and relationship problems" and then we can all be sad, morbid and empathetic to the needy, safe in the knowledge that 'The Lounge' is being utilised in the manner it was born.
