Speedup on "meta" forums

I wasn't inclined to use that method, ie selecting P&P as a whole for example, rather than just the Lounge, or Photography, or whatever, as it seemed to take an absolute age, but I've just discovered that it's now just as quick as an individual forum.

Yup, it's near instantaneous for me now. Used to take at least 7-8 seconds.

(gawd...7-8 seconds would have been swift only a few years ago, let alone when I started downloading porn from Magister's BBS images from NASA).

They are still not as quick as they should be, but I'm glad to hear that an improvement has been noticed.

It's gone again

General forum speed is fine, just these meta forums have gone slow. So presumably an indexing/search thing.

We will keep working on it, at the moment it is quite dependant on the number of people using it, the more the better, but there is still a lot of scope for making it faster.
