Problem - pages disappearing!

In the last 24 this site seems to be playing up - a page will start to load, then the window just goes blank and it stops loading. Refreshing the page does the same thing, but after a few goes it 'sticks' and the page comes up as normal, but try loading another thread and it does the same thing all over again. It's pretty annoying. I'm assuming it's a PH thing because all other sites I've been on (Sorry, I do sometimes use t'internet for stuff other than PH! ) have been fine.

I'm not aware of any problems of this nature, is it still doing it or was it a temporary glitch?

Still doing it. It seems to be just a PH thing, but I'll give my PC a once over.

Oh yeah, Windows XP and Safari

Is the same problem happening in other browsers, or just safari?

Hmmm, just tried with Windows Internet Explorer, and it seems to be working OK...

I'll keep on with IE for a bit, see if it plays up again....

Other than that, reinstall Safari? I'm not a huge fan of IE, Safari seems much better for shrugging off viruses...

My personal favourite is chrome, but I will install safari and see if I can reproduce the bug from here.

Got Chrome installed, and it does seem a lot quicker! And I don't have the same problem with stuff disappearing! Cheers Mr W!

What stage is it getting to before it hangs and is it showing anything at all on the screen?

It's usually when loading a forum page, although it has done it a few times on a 'menu' page for an individual forum, but never on the 'front' page of the list of fora. It starts to load, and the page appears, but then disappears before it has fully loaded. After a few tries it sometimes 'sticks'.
There is nothing displayed, just a blank screen, apart from the browser window.

I've done a full virus scan (Avast), and that reported no viruses, and no other sites are affected in this way. I'm puzzled!!
