complete page display for about 1-2 secs then disappears leaving blank page, no messages, only on mac laptop, the iMac is fine, both use the same OS.

I've been getting this for a while - I've posted about it here

It does it with Safari and Chrome, and is only on this site. I've done the whole antivirus thing, which comes up blank. It's flippin' annoying, sometimes takes 4 or 5 reloads before it sticks.

It varies. Sometimes it's straight away, sometimes just when you think everything's loaded. Very annoying if it's a picture heavy page! For a little bit I thought it was something to do with the adverts, but it's just too random to be sure...

Can you keep an eye on the status bar at the bottom and tell me what is loading just before it disappears?

It's quite hard to see as they flash by rather quickly, but it seems to vary. google.analysis.com has stopped it quite a few times, another was flashtalking.com, and I've seen s0.2dm.net and xx.xx.doubleclick.net.

Hope this helps a bit, as it's getting censored annoying... frown

Seems to be the adverts, but the names flash past too quick to see properly

still getting to, fine for a while & then returns, leave it for ten minutes and its ok again??

seems to be linked as you say to the adverts, or is it just the fact that they are last to load resulting in something overloading??

I did start to think it had settled down, but it's worse than ever now, and it's driving me mad....

Maybe an ad blocker would help?

Sorry for the lack of action, I thought this had sorted itself. I'll raise the question to the ads people and see if there is anything they know about it.

In the mean time and to help me diagnose the problem, could you block the server in the hosts file on your computer?

What you need to do is go to C:/Windows/System32/Drivers/etc and open the file called "hosts". If it asks what program to use then just select notepad.

Once it is open, copy and paste the following line in:

127.0.0.1 js.revsci.net

This will stop your computer from connecting to that web address and hopefully stop the problem in it's tracks. Once you've done that, let me know the results either way so that I know for certain if it is that site which is causing it.

If you have any problems at any stage then just let me know.
