What happened to the Rent me a supercar thread?

I may be being particularly dense and I didn't want to ask this in gassing but I don't seem able to find this thread. Was it deleted due to 'legal' reasons?
Probably the best thread I'd read in recent times and an object lesson in not pissing off forum members.

I was about 5 pages in an starting to chuckle uncontollably when it just disappeared... :[

I am not here to cause any trouble and it seems obvious that it probably got heated, probably the insults were flying etc so it was more trouble than it was worth.

Google has not had time to cache it so far either (damn!!) so it's lost for ever.


Could the mods possibly shed some light on why it was pulled?

People were posting his address and pictures of his "girlfriend".

I thought they'd stopped posting up his address and as far as I can see pictures of the 'porn star moose' were in the public domain.
Still happy memories and I'm sure danny will think twice before acting like an ass again.

EDLT.. Are you a mod? Or are we still waiting for a mod to confirm why it was taken down?

Last night someone cleaned it up, removed adresses and other personal info, I dont know if anyone would of been stupid enough to pearoast that kind of information after reading the full thread.

There was a lot of personal data being thrown about the place and a certain poster was becoming quite troublesome on the forum, and one of the volunteer mods spent most of the night sorting it out while we were all in bed

So, in the end one chap was removed from the site and to save a lengthy job trying to tidy up the thread that remained, we decided to simply remove it entirely.

It was amusing at first, but definitely run it's course.
