'Sold' adverts lingering.

Is it possible to have an auto clean-up of the For Sale adverts where the vehicle/object in question has been sold? It's a frustrating scenario that on a page of 100 listings, over a third of the adverts are 'Sold via Pistonheads'.

I'm aware that it's a good way of implying that the Classified section works for sellers and buyers, but any chance they can be deleted sooner rather than later? Or do they have to remain for their contracted 30 days?

The threatened filter will be included in the next version of the classifieds. In the mean time, you can use the advanced search to look at only adverts added in the last 1, 3, 7 or 14 days, which will filter out most of them.

1, 3, 7 or 14 days? But I'm going to view a car on Wednesday whose advert is 28 days old - I'd have missed it!

But the idea is once you have trawled through the listings once, you can just check what has changed since last time you looked.

Trouble is Will, if someone reduces the price on their ad it doesn't get repositioned (to stop everyone bumping their ads) so you could miss some useful changes.

It really would be useful to filter out those that are sold, I've been waiting for it for ages now. Especially as I'm hunting a car it does get a little boring going through all the sold ones.

Also, is there any chance of a mileage filter whilst you are at it?

Both things will be added to the next version of the search. Unfortunately can't promise a date when this will happen yet, but it will be on it's way soon.
