Name and Shame Policy

After agreeing to ph's Terms and Conditions it was a little dissappointing to be informed of a "Not Name and Shame Policy" concerning second hand car dealers of ill repute.
However it is believed the dealer in question has crossed the line from returning a 'botched' car under warranty to returning an 'unsafe' car under warranty. And this is not for the first time.
I am in 'commmunicardo' with the local Trading Standards office with assistance from the government's Trading Standards Institute to find precisely where that line is drawn.
If that line becomes defined I intend to ask the mods. whether this goes beyond the Name and Shame Policy in the public interest.

OK I agree to some of the sentiments of PetrolTed which is why I accept deletion of the thread which contained names and businesses. But ...
My first post (above) still applies....there is a car out there (not mine) which cannot be used because it's faulty and dangerous and the dealer refuses to look at it and he advertises on this site.
There is no libel where there is 'fair comment'.

Once fair comment has been proved (by a trading standards case or whatever) then that is a different matter. At the moment "fair comment" is just your opinion.

A few years ago this same dealer handed over a Mustang to an unsuspecting punter who crashed it due to a defective braking system. Was he a ph punter and was anything published on ph at the time as the dealer would not have been "named and shamed" on this site.
