You might have had a read of the PH posting rules, which details the things we don't like and which we don't like you to do, including:



5. Post material which infringes copyright or other intellectual property rights.


Given that you're describing a site which is selling hooky copies of the Porsche software, the moderator concerned assumed (rightly) that copyright and IP in these items belongs to Porsche.

Could I suggest that you heed the warning and don't try to post anything on this for a third time? Mods are volunteers - I'm not too keen on having their time wasted unnecessarily.

1) We inherited these rules from Ted, and see no reason why we should change them. Sorry about that, but they've been here rather longer than you.

2) No-one forces you to post here. Honestly, if you don't like it then don't post.

3) It wasn't that mods saw your thread and decided to enforce the rules unprompted. Other members saw your posts, objected and hit the report button.

Also, I wasn't trying to veil the threat; if you post links to illegal software after twice having similar threads removed, do not come back here whinging if you are banned from the forum.

Every car manufacturer that has ever made a sat-nav system has their systems copied on that website.

As far as I can see they aren't bothered by it.

Sorry, but we have a huge amount of moderator reports to wade through every day, and our moderators are volunteers. Check your email - you got an email from the moderator who removed your thread in the first place explaining why. I'm not interested in getting into a debate about why Porsche haven't taken action against whoever you bought the software from, because that isn't the point. We don't have time to argue the toss every time we remove a thread, so just accept it and move on.
