May I ask that a moderator might stick their head in the door of the music forum a little more often, please? Mostly to deter folk from posting up download links to copyrighted music. Usually by way of home made DJ mixes.
Just because they mixed it, it does not then mean it is then their music to freely distribute.
Im not an admin, so it's not up to me to continually be the one point out the legalities to these people.

Posting up links to unreleased material by unsigned artists is one thing. I understand the whole "Getting it out there" thing. Posting up download links to signed artists material is another matter entirely. Thats the difference, and that is what I am getting at here.

20+ years in the music business here (and not as a 'DJ' either). Plus plenty of friends, family and an assortment of other acquaintances in at the deep end too. So I think it's fair to say i've got a good handle on how it all works now, thanks.
